How do I pay for the bus in Seoul?

Tap a T-money or other transit card on the reader when you board, and tap again when you get off. Cash works on most routes with exact change but you get no transfer discount.

Is the bus or the subway cheaper in Seoul?

Both start at about the same price (₩1,500 vs ₩1,550). Buses are a flat fare, so long bus rides can be cheaper; subway fares grow with distance.

How late do buses run in Seoul?

Regular buses stop around 23:30–00:30. Night Owl buses (route numbers starting with N) run every 30–40 minutes until about 04:00 on major corridors for ₩2,500.
